Programs

Aesop Fables are taught to parents as well as students via call and response, rhythm, rhyme and a touch of puppetry. Some workshops encourage students to write their very own fable. 

Founder and author Joann Frasier Dasent aka Auntie Jo Jo shared her self published book "A Farmer, His Son and Their Mule" during a Literacy Carnival at Cayuga School.

Sankofa Youth Theatre and Creative Arts is a division of R.O.O.T.S Inc. Girls ages 12-16 meet at the historical La Mott Community Center for 10-12 weeks, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to write, monologues, stories or scenes for a one hour production.
